THE DIVAS are undoubtedly five of the finest and most popular female artists on the planet.
This sensational act comprises the talents of Angela Harding, Belinda Heit, Julie Cotterell, Leisa Barry-Smith and Naomi Price, each of whom had a strong solo career before joining forces. When their powers combined, these five divas have proven to be unstoppable as they have taken the world by storm with sold out concerts across the world.
The Divas first came together in 2007 for a concert in their home town of Brisbane, Australia. Their local fans went crazy for them, and a world tour soon followed. The girls hit the road and took their show to every corner of the globe - they performed to packed igloos in Antarctica and crowded mud huts in the far reaches of the Amazon jungle and everywhere in between on their sold out world tour.
Fans grew to love the Divas not just because of their live performances, but also for their behind the scenes antics which have been documented in web videos on their website and across the internet.
Fans have come to sympathise with Angela as she struggles to beat her Whizz Fizz addiction, and they have watched anxiously as Julie caught a severe bought of hyperchondria on CELEBRITY SURVIVOR and did not survive.
Fans have gasped at Belinda's horror tales of plastic surgery, liposuction and her death & resurrection and they've been glued to tabloid newspapers that been rife with stories of the war raging between Leisa and Naomi after Leisa fed Naomi’s dog, Lola, to a wild buffalo to get her back for being so good on her guest appearance on SO YOU THINK YOU CAN BELLY DANCE?
The Divas continue to entertain the audiences of the universe and win praise and accolades wherever they perform.
The Divas are currently in the studio recording tracks for their first album which is due for release at the end of 2009.
In 2010, the Divas hope to tour the world again with an all new show and then hope to be the first act to launch their show in to outerspace. Literally.
